In 2016, the year of the full liberalization of the electricity business, MPX was launched as Japan’s first forward curve distribution service for wholesale electricity trading. In a rapidly changing business environment, we believe that providing timely and continuous fair value information on electricity is an essential service for revitalizing electricity trading.
Since its launch, based on Mitsubishi Research Institute's long-standing industry knowledge and our partner KYOS's experience in the European market, we have provided innovative original market information services, data platforms, and cutting-edge risk solutions, contributing to the growth and innovation of our customers' electricity businesses. Moving forward, the MPX team will continue to support our customers' businesses with the modeling technologies and solutions we have cultivated.

KYOS is a quantitative analysis firm with modeling technologies and software cultivated in Europe, a leading region in electricity liberalization. Since our business partnership in 2015, we have been jointly developing various services for the Japanese market, including electricity forward curve models and ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management).
